These are like the standard hotels in the Europe with good scenic views. They were previously government owned but have now got foreign management and were the original first lodges built in the National Parks since the 70’s. There is good scenic views, well located, constant running hot/cold water with basic amenities, bar with fireplace in the lounge area.
An example is the Seronera Wildlife Lodge in Central Serengeti has good architectural design built in the pre-Cambrian ancient rocky outcrops known as “kopjes.” Also in Northern Serengeti is Lobo Wildlife Lodge with fantastic scenic views hidden in rocky hills.
